Valley View Counseling: A Legacy of Personalized Care
Founded over 30 years ago by a group of dedicated therapists, Valley View Counseling emerged from a shared vision for a private practice that prioritized client well-being over financial gain. Tired of the clinical limitations imposed by corporate settings, these therapists sought a space where they could offer private, personalized, and compassionate therapy.
At Valley View, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our providers are committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, staying at the forefront of their fields to provide the most effective treatments. We believe that every client's journey is unique, and we offer ongoing support tailored to their individual needs.
Our Ownership Team is comprised of 6 therapists Judy & Doug Eckstein, Neal & Jimee Itzkowitz, and Bryan & Gloria McCrea. This group provides counsel and guidance to our staff, assists with clinical consultations, and a few still providing individual and group services to their established clients.
Your Counseling Journey: What to Expect
1. Contact Our Team
Your journey begins by reaching out to our team. During this step, we’ll gather some basic information, review accepted insurances, and discuss whether you prefer virtual or in-person sessions. This helps us understand your needs and ensures we can provide options that fit your preferences and coverage.
2. Getting Matched with a Provider
Once we have a sense of what you’re looking for, we’ll connect you with a provider who is a good fit based on your goals, concerns, and availability. Finding the right match is an important part of building a comfortable and effective counseling experience.
3. Determine Availability for Scheduling
After matching, we’ll look at scheduling options that work for you and your provider. In some cases, immediate openings may be available, allowing you to begin care sooner rather than later.
4. Complete Paperwork
Before your first session, you’ll complete intake forms and a questionnaire. This gives your provider helpful background information and a head start on understanding what you’d like to focus on, so your time together can be more productive from the very beginning.
5. First Session
Your first session gives your provider a chance to understand your background, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from counseling. A personalized treatment plan will be created, and weekly recurring appointments are recommended to create consistency and support ongoing progress.

Client Review
"Valley View counseling is one of the best places to go get therapy, everyone is very professional and does a great job of giving the best support possible. The ladies at the front desk are very sweet an welcoming and the therapists are very understanding and non judgmental. The therapists at valley view are deeply passionate about helping people feel less alone and more confident, along with giving their clients new perspectives and useful advice for everyday life. I've been going to Valley view for 4 years and from personal experience every therapist I've had has always made me feel safe, comfortable, understood, and more confident in my ability to grow into a stronger person. I've learned something from every therapist that I can apply to my everyday life to help me become a stronger me. I highly recommend Valley view counseling to anyone who is in need of a professional therapist who cares deeply about helping people heal one session at a time, don't be afraid to reach out if you are struggling a little help goes a long way."
